The group started collaborating after they met in a dormitory at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, CO. At the beginning, it was just some guys that enjoyed playing music together after work at the local ski area. Over the years, their sound developed, and the continued support of the local and surrounding communities helped create a scene for the band to grow within. That’s where the Leadville Cherokee family was born. It encompasses not only a group of musicians, but also the mountain culture and people that live there. Leadville Cherokee has a reputation for throwing the rowdiest parties that the Arkansas Valley has to offer.
