Dave Hebert (AKA Abear) is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter, from Denver Colorado most known for his tenure with Melvin Seals and JGB (Jerry Garcia Band). ABear has traversed his musical path creating and improvising with many music genres, including Jam Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, and Bluegrass. Playing live shows across the country for over 25 years, Dave sees every performance as an opportunity to spark inspiration and create magic with his fellow musicians. In his words “it’s a lot like mining for gold and reaching those moments are the musical nuggets.” ABear’s versatility is his asset, whether it’s his original compositions or songs, or from the vast Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band catalog, ABear captures the feel of a song, taking the musical risks, breathing new life into an old familiar tune and puts the A’Bear stamp on it.
